Editor - Matt Felstead
BIO
Matt Felstead is an award-winning editor with over 20 years’ experience shaping bold, emotionally driven work across commercials, television and short films. Known for his instinctive sense of rhythm, narrative clarity and visual impact, Matt has a rare ability to take raw material and turn it into something that feels purposeful, surprising and alive. For him, editing isn’t just about pace or polish - it’s pure storytelling.
That love of story started early, sparked by a VHS copy of E.T. in an Essex living room in the 80s. What began as a fascination with film grew into a lifelong obsession with how stories are told, felt and remembered. Years later, discovering editing lit the fuse properly. It combined everything Matt was good at - structure, emotion, problem-solving and (occasionally) spinning a convincing tale - and he’s been cutting ever since.
Matt’s work has been recognised at the very highest level, including multiple Gold awards from Cannes Lions, British Arrows and Ciclope, as well as honours from Creative Circle, RTS and Broadcast. His editing is often praised for its confidence, craft and emotional intelligence, whether conveying the relentless punishment of a rain-soaked mountain climb or bringing warmth, humour and heart to long-form television. Whatever the format, Matt is collaborative, meticulous and creatively fearless - and, most importantly, very good at what he does.
If you need an editor who understands story from the inside out, you’re in safe hands.
